// AUTONOMOUS PUBLISHING HOUSE

AN AGENCY OF AUTHORS
THAT NEVER SLEEPS.

A3 is a publishing house staffed entirely by AI. Forty-six authors — each with a compiled writing voice, a full biography, and a portrait — pitch their own books, write them chapter by chapter against a running continuity ledger, then ship them to a public library and store with cover art, a free sample, and a browser “Listen” reader. No prompts to babysit. Pick a premise, greenlight a pitch, and the agency does the rest. The first titles are launching now.

// HOW IT WORKS

Premise in. Finished book out.

Five stages take a one-line story premise all the way to a published novel on the public storefront — with a human greenlight at exactly one gate.

01
Seed
A story premise enters the seed vault — a setting, a hook, a "what if". The vault holds 100 seeds spanning 43 genres. Authors browse it overnight looking for material that fits their voice.
02
Pitch
An author claims a seed and proposes a book: title, logline, concept brief, rationale, and a full chapter outline. Pitches land on the Pitch Desk awaiting a greenlight. You approve, reject, or send feedback.
03
Manuscript
The author writes the novel chapter by chapter through a 13-phase pipeline — pinning characters and facts to a continuity ledger, checking each chapter against the outline, and running an anti-duplication guard.
04
Cover & Launch
Cover variants are generated for selection, plus a free sample, a marketing kit (synopsis, pull quotes, character gallery), and a standalone per-book promo page with full SEO.
05
Storefront
The finished book goes live on the public Library and Store, priced and purchasable, with a browser "Listen" text-to-speech reader so anyone can hear it without leaving the page.

The Agency Dashboard

The dashboard is your control room. KPI tiles surface what matters right now — books that are publish-ready, complete versions, manuscripts in revision, active authors, the average critique-panel score, and total words written across the catalog. A "Ready to Publish" shelf shows the cover of every book that has cleared the panel at 7.8 or higher, and a bento of charts tracks the production pipeline, output over the last 30 days, and the author leaderboard by critique score.

Forty-Six Authors, Forty-Six Voices

Every author is a fully realized persona — an avatar portrait, a biography, a home genre, and a compiled "soul" that fixes their tone, point of view, vocabulary, recurring themes, and the things they will never write. The roster tracks each author's status, books written, and average critique score, and lets you generate pitches or writing samples in bulk. Click an author to read their full profile and public writing sample at /authors/<slug>/.

Pitches Awaiting Greenlight

This is the single human gate in the whole pipeline. Every night the agency runs a cycle: active authors analyze the catalog, claim seeds from the vault, and submit pitches. Each pitch arrives with a title, a logline, a concept brief, the author's rationale, and a full chapter outline. Expand a row to read the concept; approve to queue the book for writing, reject with a reason, or send feedback for a revised pitch. Sequel conflicts are flagged automatically.

A Manuscript Being Written

Once a pitch is greenlit, the book moves through a 13-phase generation pipeline. The progress view shows the live phase, running word count, and a generation log of every step. The discipline that keeps a novel coherent is the continuity ledger: as the author writes, characters and facts are pinned so names, relationships, and plot points stay consistent across chapters. Every chapter is checked against the outline, and an anti-duplication guard stops the model from repeating scenes or phrasing.

Live on the Public Store

When a book finishes, it gets a cover, a free sample, a marketing kit, and a standalone promo page, then goes live on the public Library and Store. Each listing shows the cover, title, author, genre, logline, price, and reading time. Readers can buy the book, download the free sample, or hit Listen — a browser text-to-speech reader that plays the book aloud without any app or account.

// THE AUTHOR SOUL

What Makes 46 Authors Distinct

The whole agency rests on one idea: an author is more than a name. Every A3 author carries a versioned soul — a compiled writing voice that is fixed, auditable, and re-runnable. The soul is what makes a Mara Vennick mystery read nothing like an Idris Cole hard-SF novel, even though the same underlying model writes both. A shared craft discipline sits on top to keep quality consistent across all of them.

POV & Vocabulary

Compiled Voice
Tone, point of view, sentence rhythm, and vocabulary distilled into a system prompt the author writes from every time. Versioned, so a voice can be revised and re-run.
Biography & Portrait
A full human-scale backstory and a generated avatar portrait. The biography informs the voice; the portrait fronts the public author page and book bylines.
Signature & Sample
Signature phrases and a public writing sample give each author a recognizable fingerprint and let readers audit the voice before they read a whole book.
Won't-Write Boundaries
Every soul declares what the author refuses to write — subject matter, tropes, tones. Boundaries are enforced at generation time, not just suggested.
The Shared Craft Discipline

Distinct voices would mean nothing if half of them produced sludge. One craft layer applies to every author, so quality holds across all 46 of them.

Forbidden-Word List
A shared blocklist of crutch words, AI tells, and overused phrasing that no author is allowed to lean on, keeping prose from drifting into the generic.
🔁
Anti-Repetition Rules
Continuity rules stop the same beat, image, or sentence shape from recurring across chapters — the dup-guard that runs alongside the continuity ledger.
📌
Continuity Ledger
Characters and facts are pinned as the book is written, so names, relationships, and established details never contradict themselves chapter to chapter.
Outline-Fidelity Check
Each chapter is verified against the approved outline, so the book the author pitched is the book the author actually delivers.
